CNA stands for Certified Nursing Assistant. A CNA provides help for people who may be aging, sick or disabled. There are about 1.5 million CNAs in America, and on average they make $25,700 a year. To become a CNA you are not required to have a college degree. CNAs do work in hospitals however are most commonly known for working in nursing homes and long term care facilities. CNAs may choose to become Registered nurses (RNs) if they continue their education.
