Business Academy–Business & Financial Management

Do you want to learn how to run a business and make a profit?

Do you like working with and managing money?

Do you want to earn FREE college credits while still in high school?

This program encompasses four one-semester courses, taken together in one year or taken one at a time prior to graduation, which will provide you with broad knowledge to help you excel in any business related field or college program.

COURSES IN THIS CAREER CLUSTER:

• Accounting – learn to properly maintain business financial records according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. (GAAP) College Credit offered.

   

• Business Management/Entrepreneurship – learn how to establish, organize, promote and manage a small business College Credit offered.

   

• Investing & Personal Finance – learn sound economic priciples to handle your money, as well as intelligent investing in stocks, bonds or mutual funds College Credit offered.

   

CANDIDATES FOR THIS CAREER CLUSTER:

• Plan on attending college and majoring in a business related field

• Desire to own and operate your own small business and want to earn college credit while IN high school

• Are interested in learning how to succeed in the capitalistic and free enterprise system of the United States

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES TO CONSIDER:

BHS students may take courses that are part of this program as single classes.
TA, Kennebunk, and OOB studenst must come for the AM or PM sessions.

All classes offer Dual Credits – High School + College
Earn up to 15 college credits that are transferable to most post-secondary institutions!
