Engineering & Architectural Design

Science Technology Engineering and Math, you hear this buzzword all over the place these days.  I’ve been involved in STEM for almost 30 years now, first as an engineering student in college, then working as a mechanical engineer in industry, and now teaching at both the college and high school levels.  My passion has always been taking very complex problems and breaking them down into manageable bits, this is the essence of engineering and at the heart of my teaching methods.  If you’re interested in careers that involve that type of problem solving then these courses might be just what you’re looking for.  Students in my classes are immersed in the world of design, whether it be engineering, architecture, CAD, 3D printing, model building, prototyping, community service projects, internships, job shadows, earning college credits, field trips to industry, or guest speaker visits from former students and other professionals out there working in the field. STEM isn’t just a buzzword, it represents a whole sector of careers that I’m eager to expose you to.
