A big thank you to Michael Burnham and his neuroanatomy students!
A big thank you to Michael Burnham and his neuroanatomy students! We greatly appreciate their willingness to spend the day with the Introduction to Medical Science, Health Asssistant & Medical Assistant students. Our students were able to take part in four interactive mini lessons about the brain. One station featured the anatomy of a human brain including the effects of Alzheimer’s disease and strokes on the brain. The second station featured interactive activities for students to explore better ways to learn as well as looking at the effects of multi-tasking. The third station featured concussions and helmet safety. The fourth station explored how drugs affect the brain and the science behind addiction. Students learned a great deal and had a lot of fun doing it.
