COT’s Business Academy Awards College Credits
On Thursday evening, January 30th, The Center of Technology’s Business Academy awarded students certificates showing that they have earned college credits for courses they have taken here in our high school classes.
Thomas College and Northern Maine Community College have both partnered with the COT to offer dual enrollment agreements for courses offered in the Business Academy. Students taking these courses can save time and money, by applying these credits toward their future college careers.
Governor LePage was on hand to hand out the certificates, along with Dr. Jim Libby, Academic Dean from Thomas College.
The Business Academy’s dual enrollment program was modeled after the Governor’s Bridge Year plan, which calls for offering college credit for high school classes. Learn more about the Business Academy’s dual enrollment offerings here.
